The 5 ultimate hacks that make wearing high heels an absolute breeze | Pretty Beautiful

High heels instantly elevate any look. From pumps and sandals to stilettos and wedges, there are tons of fashion-forward high heels on the market at any given time. The problem is, high heels are often uncomfortable.

In this installment of Pretty Beautiful, beauty and style expert Lisa Azcona shows us five ways to make high heels much more comfortable for everyday wear. From clever inserts that protect your feet from cuts and bruises to even dry shampoo to keep your feet from sliding around, you’re sure to find something here that works for your high-heel challenges.

Hack 1: Soothing Foot Spray

One of the easiest ways to ensure that your feet are more comfortable in heels from the jump is by first prepping your feet.

This foot spray is infused with botanical ingredients and is said to keep your feet pain-free for up to two hours in heels.

Hack 2: Adhesive Cushion Inserts

If the balls of your feet are the first to throb when you wear heels, this hack is for you!

Specifically, if you’re wearing heels with not much of a platform and very little support, these adhesive cushion inserts give you so much more comfort and peace of mind when wearing an unsupportive heel.

They come with an adhesive back that peels right off and attaches to the inside of your shoe. This way, your foot has something to rest on and won’t go sliding around.

Hack 3: Heel Protection Stickers

Everyone knows the painful struggle that comes with your favorite pair of shoes cutting into the back of your feet. While the old trick of placing a Band-Aid in the exposed area sometimes works, it tends to slide around.

A more reliable way to protect that area is with these clear heel protection stickers.

Unlike Band-Aids, these won’t come off until you’re ready to take them off. Plus, they’re perfect for preventing any friction or rubbing from your shoe’s material onto your skin.

Hack 4: Ultra-Thin Adhesive Pads

Strappy heels can also be a major pain. Whether they’re too loose or too tight, there’s an easy fix to get them to fit you just right.

These ultra-thin adhesive pads attach to your shoe straps to act as a protective barrier between your skin and the shoe straps.

Best of all, there are a bunch of different sizes to fit various foot and shoe sizes and angles.

Hack 5: Anti-Blister Balm

If your heels are way too tight, try coating your feet in an anti-blister balm. Apply it to your feet just like a deodorant stick. This product gives your feet some relief and helps prevent more blisters from coming on.

If your heels are too loose, though, try coating the soles of your feet in a light layer of dry shampoo. This ensures that your feet stay dry — especially in the warmer months.
