I Hacked The KFC Menu And Made A 3-Course Meal

Whether original or crispy, spicy or plain, KFC is as American as baseball and something that most of us have enjoyed at some point in our lives. It was a natural stop for the drive-through tour. This stop gave me much more to work with; from the sides (fries, slaw, biscuits, corn, mashed potatoes!) to the mains (drums, thighs, tenders!), there was so much to work with.

I wanted to make a three-course meal that would be shareable, memorable, and delicious, so we went for an appetizer made famous by our neighbors to the north (poutine), a hearty main course (shepherds pie) and a light refreshing dessert (granita) perfect for the spring and summer months.

I tried my best to tie it all together and since everything came out just about how I thought it would, I will have to say this is a win, my camera man gave me a 3 out of 5 on his taste test so I can live with that! I’ll be making the granitas whenever we hit a hot LA summer day—AKA any day now—and I’m gonna fool some friends at a potluck with the croquettes. Want to see how it all came together? Well you'll just have to watch the video and see!

Let me know in the comments which drive throughs you'd love to see me try next and we’ll see what other magic we can make happen. Till then, peace and love, and as always dare to live Delish.
