Since the Fourth of July is one of 11 federal holidays, many large stores and retail chains close for the day, giving their employees the day off to enjoy the (hopefully) sunny day with friends and family. Is H-E-B open on the Fourth of July?
According to the supermarket's official website, H-E-B supermarkets will be open and operating at regular hours during the Fourth of July. The store's pharmacy will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with curbside pick-up and at-home delivery operating during regular hours as well.
After the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) changed their Covid-19 guidelines to make masks optional for those who are fully vaccinated, H-E-B changed their in-store mask policy. As of June 9, 2021, masks are optional while shopping inside for everyone who is fully vaccinated.
If you're eligible and looking to get a Covid-19 vaccine on the Fourth of July, keep in mind that you can sign up to get either a Pfizer, Moderna, or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine at H-E-B pharmacies via their H-E-B pharmacy link.

H-E-B supermarkets aren't the only stores open and operating during the Fourth of July. From coffee shops to super stores to crafting stores, here are a few other businesses who will keep their doors open on July 4:
Starbucks: Certain Starbucks locations will be open on the Fourth of July, though some may adjust their hours to account for the holiday. You can use the Starbucks Store Locator and the Starbucks App to confirm that your neighborhood Starbucks is, in fact, open.
Best Buy: Like Starbucks, it's best to use Best Buy's store locator to make sure the location nearest you is open.
Joann: If you're looking to get in on some Fourth of July crafts and decorations, you can visit Joann from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 4.
Kirkland's: In order to host their annual 4th of July sale, which runs from June 25 to July 5 and offers customers up to 50 percent all outdoor, spring, and patriotic items, most stores will remain open during their regular hours on Independence Day.
Kroger: All Kroger stores will be open during standard operating hours.
Target: Hours may vary by location, but all stores will be open on July 4.
Walgreens: Expect your local Walgreens to remain open during normal hours on the Fourth of July
Walmart: The super center will also remain open during normal hours.
Whole Foods: You can buy everything you need to complete your Fourth of July menu this year, as Whole Foods will also be open during normal hours on July 4.
