Gymshark Introduces the Sportswear Hijab
British sportswear brand Gymshark just announced the launch of its brand-new sports Hijab, a major step forward when it comes to modest activewear and inclusive design. Available in two colorways of "Cargo Teal" and "Sand Beige," the scarf is crafted from sweat-wicking fabric and can be worn both inside and outside of the gym.
The new release follows on from a slew of inclusive designs from Gymshark, including the recent Diffuse Sweat Headband made for people with textured hair, and its London store mannequins -- based directly on its community.
"We can't say we are a community brand if we don't act on what our community are telling us," says Senior Designer Nichola Harris. "We hear that women who wear modest clothing want to train and lift, but they want to do so with confidence, comfort and style. The Hijab Scarf builds on our previous collections and campaigns in the modest world. Not only do they look and feel great, but if we can provide the apparel that will alleviate any concerns and help with focus on training, then we are all for that.
