Gwyneth Paltrow's Ski Trial Is Being Turned Into a Docuseries

Earlier this year, the world could not look away as Gwyneth Paltrow went on trial for allegedly skiing into retired optometrist Terry Sanderson in Deer Valley. A jury found Paltrow not liable, and Sanderson at fault. On her way out of the courtroom, Paltrow leaned over to tell to Sanderson, "I wish you well." Following the conclusion of the case, Sanderson said he now thinks the trial was not worthwhile. "I'm gonna be on the internet forever," he said. Not just the internet—but now, a documentary.

The events of the trial that captured the internet's attention will be recounted in a new Discovery+ docuseries, Gwyneth vs. Terry: The Ski Crash Trial. The trial grabbed headlines for the absurdity of the case (who skied into who) and for Paltrow's enviable courtroom style, which exuded low-key rich bitch energy. It's unclear as of yet if the documentary will reveal anything new about the Utah civil case.

After the verdict, Paltrow's attorney, Stephen Owens, said in a statement, "We're pleased with the outcome and appreciate the judge and jury's consideration. Gwyneth has a history of standing up for what's right and this situation is no different. She will continue to stand up for what's right."

In a statement, Paltrow said, "I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity. I am pleased with the outcome and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case."
