Gwyneth Paltrow decided to celebrate her 48th birthday with a bang by posing completely naked for an Instagram post.

The Goop founder and actress shared the revealing snapshot with the caption: “In nothing but my birthday suit today… thank you all so much for the birthday wishes.”

Praising her lifestyle and wellness brand’s new body butter for “making me think I can still get my kit off,” the star posed strategically in front of an idyllic woodland backdrop.

While other celebrities including Naomi Cambell and Paris Hilton praised the image and shared their birthday well wishes in the comments, Paltrow’s 16-year-old daughter, Apple Martin, jokingly wrote “MOM” under the post, as she seemed to disapprove of the actress baring all on her Instagram.

Paltrow’s husband Brad Falchuck, who she married in 2018, wrote a birthday tribute to the actress on his own Instagram, sharing a photo of her kicking back on the sofa.

He wrote: “This badass is 48 today. She makes pizza from scratch, is never late for cocktail hour, makes looking good annoyingly easy and never skips an opportunity to put an asshole in his place.”

“She makes friends feel like family and family feel like friends. Trust me, she’s the best. Happy, happy, happy birthday, Beauty. I love you,” he added.

Falchuck ended the post on a political note, saying: “PS – if anyone reading this wants to get Gwyneth something for her birthday, please VOTE! Register your friends to VOTE! Drive people to the polls! She absolutely loves it when you VOTE!!”

The actress and television writer began their relationship following her divorce from Coldplay frontrunner Chris Martin who she famously “consciously uncoupled” from in 2016.
