Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are engaged! The stars each announced the news on their respective instagram accounts on Tuesday, October 27. Gwen captioned hers "yes please! 💍🙏🏻 gx," while Blake posted "Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020... And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!"

The Voice coaches have been together since November 2015. Congrats to the happy couple!

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton seem more in love than ever lately as the couple quarantine together in Oklahoma amid the coronavirus crisis.

As fresh rumors swirl that these two lovebirds might be headed for the altar soon, let's take a look back to where it all began and how Blake and Gwen's love has grown over the years. Here's everything you should know about everybody's favorite musical couple!

Blake and Gwen weren't looking for love when they first connected, but that's exactly what they found.

The singers first became close after they both separated from their spouses. In July 2015, Blake, now age 42, confided to his fellow The Voice coaches that he and second wife Miranda Lambert were divorcing after four years of marriage. The season's coaches—Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, and Gwen were stunned by the news. Blake and Miranda had been together for ten years and were the power couple of country music.

Just one month after Blake's sudden separation, Gwen, now age 49, also confronted heartbreak when she announced her split from ex-husband, rocker Gavin Rossdale. The couple had been married 13 years and shared three young sons, Kingston (born 2006), Zuma (born 2008), and Apollo (born 2014).

Blake and Gwen quickly realized they were experiencing the same pain. She later told The New York Times that they found comfort in each other. He "had been going through literally the exact same thing in literally the exact same time frame," she said.

Behind the scenes, Blake and Gwen's friendship soon blossomed into a romance and by November 2015, they admitted they were indeed a couple. Their newfound happiness sent each artist into the recording studio. Gwen's album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like dropped March 2016 and included a song about Blake. In "Make Me Like You," she described herself as "broken but fine" before falling in love again.

Two months later, Blake released his tenth studio album, If I'm Honest, which included a hit duet with Gwen, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart."

The couple continued to inspire each other musically, collaborating on a cozy holiday duet,“You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” for Gwen's 2017 album of the same name. And it was clear that Blake had Gwen on the brain when he recorded his eleventh studio album, Texoma Shore. The 2017 album featured a steamy love song about his girlfriend, "Turnin' Me On," as well as a hit ode to domestic bliss, "I'll Name the Dogs", which got fans talking about the couple's home life and future together.

Indeed, it was obvious that Blake was growing closer not just to Gwen but to her family. In March 2018, Blake raved on the Today show about how Gwen's sons were "great" and an unexpected joy in life. Prior to meeting Gwen, Blake said he thought he might not have children. "At this point in my life, I'd kind of put that (aside), like, 'I guess that's not meant to be,'" he said. "And then all of the sudden it happens, one way or another."

In 2019, Blake and Gwen hit the studio together again to record their biggest hit yet: a romantic duet called "Nobody But You," which was featured on Blake’s latest album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country. In the very first verse, Blake hints at his desire to spend the rest of his life with Gwen: "Don't have to leave this town to see the world / 'Cause there's something that I gotta do / I don't wanna look back in thirty years and wonder who you're married to."

“The lyrics of that song are so on point, not just for me and Gwen, but I think for a lot of people,” Blake told Nashville Lifestyles magazine at the time. “The song is not a fairytale, but at the same time it’s the most epic, earth-rattling love song I’ve heard in a long time, because the lyrics are so honest and just say how it is.”

Blake was right about the song's power over fans. In April 2020, "Nobody But You" hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, and nobody was more excited about it than the musical power couple themselves.

Blake took to social media to congratulate Gwen on her first No. 1 country song with the sweetest message. "Congratulations @gwenstefani on your first country song going #1 at country radio!!!" he wrote. "Not bad for your first try!!!!!"

There was more to celebrate a couple months later, when Blake and Gwen bought their first home together, a stunning $13.2 million estate in Los Angeles's San Fernando Valley.

There's no word yet on when Blake and Gwen will move into their new home, but in the meantime, the couple have been self-isolating together on Blake's Oklahoma ranch amid the coronavirus crisis. And they're certainly making the most of the situation with their own unique blend of chemistry and humor!

In March, Blake announced his decision to grow a quarantine mullet to offer his fans a quirky "symbol of hope" during difficult times.

Gwen got in on the action by cutting and styling Blake's mullet—in the middle of a virtual interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show!

It's clear that these two are so in love, so it came as no surprise when the engagement rumors that had been swirling for years resurfaced in full force in June, when Us Weekly reported that Gwen wants to marry Blake as soon as possible after the coronavirus pandemic is over.

According to Us Weekly, the singer had been working on getting her marriage to ex-husband Gavin annulled so that she and Blake could marry in the Catholic church. But the pandemic has reportedly changed her perspective, and she now wants to tie the knot with Blake as soon as social distancing guidelines allow for a wedding.

“Gwen wants to have a ceremony and reception with their family and friends,” a source told Us. “She didn’t wait this long to get married with family watching on Zoom. It has made her realize that waiting for the annulment at this point is just futile because it could take years for the church tribunal to issue the decision.”

The source continued: "When they say their vows this time around, it’ll feel like the first time for both of them because they’ve never had this kind of soulmate synergy with anyone else."

Neither Blake nor Gwen has commented on the report but Blake has weighed in on past rumors that the couple were engaged or already married.

In fact, in 2019, he told ET that he "loves" the rumors.

"Those rumors are great," he said. "Anybody that thinks that I'm married to Gwen already, I love it. My God. Who wouldn't want to be married to Gwen Stefani?"

The couple released yet another duet together this summer (of course it's called "Happy Anywhere") and the song quickly skyrocketed to the top of the charts. The video is packed with adorable footage of the couple, and they look so in love it's hard to believe a wedding isn't on the horizon!

Aww, so sweet! We truly believe that Blake and Gwen are meant to be, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for one of our favorite couples!
