  • At 51, pop music legend Gwen Stefani opened up aging and the public fascination with her youthful look.

  • “People talking about my aging is a compliment, I guess,” she said. “I’m kind of obsessed with how I’m aging, too.”

  • That message has been amplified in her new “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” music video, in which she rocks some of her most iconic looks from over the years.

At 51, pop music legend Gwen Stefani looks just as good as she did 20 years ago, and she knows it. There’s always been a public fascination with her youthful look, but it’s been amplified by the release of her new single “Let Me Reintroduce Myself”—an exploration of her musical and style evolution.

In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, the singer acknowledged the attention, and although she isn’t personally offended by the comments, she understands that getting older isn’t so easy breezy for everyone.

“It’s really hard for everyone to age and have to face life. Especially for females and people who have been in the spotlight,” she told the publication. “It can be daunting, but you tackle it by just trying to be the most beautiful version of yourself inside and out.”

And that’s exactly what she’s done over the last two decades, which is why she’s proud of the stir caused by her appearance. “People talking about my aging is a compliment, I guess,” she added. “I’m kind of obsessed with how I’m aging, too.”

That’s why she’s confidently strutting back into the pop music scene after a brief hiatus, and why, in the “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” music video, she steps out in some of her most iconic looks from over the years looking exactly the same as she did then, if not better. “This is the thing about age—there are days when you think you’re expired. Then there are other days where you’re like, I’m not dead. Why stop now?” she told Vogue in January, referring to her comeback. “If you don’t like it, then turn off the TV or the radio or don’t look. I’m still going to do it.”

In terms of a particular anti-aging regimen that Stefani might follow to stay looking her best, you’ll be shocked to know that she doesn’t credit her youthfulness to any serum or diet plan. Instead, she thanks her fiancé, Blake Shelton, for keeping her young. “Blake is the greatest guy,” she explained to Daily Telegraph. “I look back over the past few years and look at pictures of when I first started kissing Blake, and I look the best I’ve ever looked in my life in those photos. Love must look good on me. I feel like that does show through—it really does.”
