Gwen Stefani Debuted Her Massive Engagement Ring on 'The Voice' This Week

There was no doubt in Blake Shelton's mind that he had to get Gwen Stefani a gorgeous sparkler for their engagement — and boy did he deliver.

Gwen gleefully showed off her brand new engagement ring when sharing their big news to fans on October 27. According to Entertainment Tonight, Blake popped the big question the weekend of October 17 in Oklahoma, where the "Honey Bee" singer has a home.

"Blake had the ring custom designed," a source supposedly told Us Weekly while also sharing that the country singer asked Gwen's father, Dennis Stefani, for permission. "It meant so much to Gwen that Blake was so traditional about it."

So far, we only have a few photos of the ring: the aforementioned one Gwen and Blake shared on Instagram, a close-up Instagram Stories picture the bride-to-be posted on the night of the 2020 People’s Choice Awards, and a screenshot from Gwen's recent appearance on The Voice.

Monday night marked the first time Gwen has shown off her sparkler on the NBC competition show. For the ring's grand debut, Gwen accessorized with lots of silver jewelry and flashy black-and-white nails.

Last month, jewelry experts gave their best guesses on the sparkler's details. Katie Zimmerman, the chief merchandising officer of the jewelry company Blue Niles, told Refinery29.com that Gwen's ring is probably a round or oval cut "set in a solitaire or simple pavé platinum setting." By her estimate, the "Hollaback Girl" singer's diamond is likely between eight to 10 carats in weight, putting its value between $700,000 and $800,000.

That said, other estimates have priced the ring in a slightly less expensive range. Brilliant Earth's SVP of Merchandising and Retail Expansion Kathryn Money told US Weekly that she thinks its a solitaire diamond that weighs about six carats and is set on a white gold or platinum band . If this is true, the ring may have cost around $500,000+, depending on the quality of the stone.

Of course, we won't know the exact details unless either Blake or Gwen decide to share them with the world. Regardless of the ring though, it's clear that Gwen and Blake, who have been dating since 2015, are both over the moon at the moment. When announcing their engagement via the above Instagram, Gwen captioned her photo, "@blakeshelton yes please!" Sharing the same picture to his own Instagram feed, Blake wrote,"Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020 ... And the rest of my life. I love you. I heard a YES!"
