Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are a lot like ordinary couples. They love watching Hallmark movies, Oklahoma summers, decorating for Christmas, and a good gas station roast turkey. However, they also aren’t like an ordinary couple. For example, look no further than their New Year’s Eve plans.

This year, the power couple will be spending New Year’s Eve apart and both far from their Oklahoma ranch. Shelton is going to be ringing in the New Year alongside Trace Adkins, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and Elle King, performing at Nashville’s Big Bash, Music City's annual holiday throw down. As Shelton’s #1 fan, Stefani was planning on cheering him on with the crowd. However, that plan has now changed, The Voice judge revealed in an interview.  “Well, it's funny because I was going to be at his show, and then Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas," Stefani told Access Hollywood, but there was one problem: “Last year I did Vegas and I was like, 'Remind me to never do Vegas again.'”

After thinking about it for a while, though, she had a change of heart. "If [Blake’s] gonna be working then I'm gonna be working,” she said in the interview. “So, I'm just gonna fly in and out it's gonna be awesome. I'm really looking forward to it." So instead of celebrating together, the couple will be headlining shows on opposite sides of the country. But that's okay, it will come after plenty of family bonding time over Christmas. As we previously reported, the pair love to challenge themselves in the kitchen for their not so traditional holiday feast. As Stefani described it, "We stumbled across this dish called the Timpano Dome... it's basically like a lasagna but it's in this dome formed either with bread or a pasta. We started doing that a few years ago and now that's the thing, yeah."
