Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Are Finally Engaged!
After five years of dating, the couple is officially on track to tie the knot.
After half a decade together, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are officially engaged! With a simple "Yes, please" caption, Gwen confirmed on Instagram that she said yes to Blake's marriage proposal, People reports. The country singer took to his own social media platform to share the exciting news, too: "Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020... And the rest of my life," he captioned the engagement photo on Instagram. "I love you. I heard a YES!"

According to a People source from Gwen's inner circle, Blake actually popped the question on October 17, in Oklahoma. The announcement comes shortly after the bride-to-be shared that everyone in the public eye already seems to think of them as a married couple. "Do you know how many people say my 'husband' about him?" she said in reference to the country singer, Extra previously reported. "I guess we're just together." She did note on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the idea of being his wife did have a nice ring to it. "He's not my husband, but that sounded cool when you said it," Gwen told Dua Lipa—who thought they already tied the knot—on the show.
While the couple has spent the last five years together, there has never been a dull moment—the entertainers have been joined at the hip ever since they started dating. "They're still madly in love and beyond inseparable," an insider told People back in November 2019. "Blake has wanted to take his time with marriage, but he is absolutely committed to Gwen. They both feel they've found their true partner in life and plan to be together forever."
Blake even shared that he knew his relationship with Gwen was one for the ages when he previously sat down with People. "I'm happy. Sometimes happiness can seem like fleeting moments, but this one has been staying in the same lane for a long time. It's just amazing," he said, adding that his now-bride-to-be has helped him grow in more ways he could imagine. "I've learned more from Gwen Stefani as a human being, and how to grow as a human being, than I have from anybody ever in my life—anybody," Blake said. "She's everything that you could hope a human being could be."
