Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Are Engaged, and Her Ring Photo Is So Cute

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are engaged after five years of dating.

The couple announced the news via Instagram on Tuesday, October 27. “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020... And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES,” Shelton wrote in his caption alongside a photo of himself and Stefani kissing. She's holding her left hand up; however, the pic is too far away for us to get a good look at the rock.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, both cojudges on The Voice, were confirmed to be dating in November 2015. Stefani has three children from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale. Shelton, meanwhile, was previously married to country singer Miranda Lambert. They split in 2015. 

“It's not something that anybody could have seen coming, besides God, I guess,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight in 2016 about his relationship with Stefani. “It doesn't look like it would make sense, you know? But all I can tell you is, it does. It just makes the most perfect sense for us and where we're at in our lives. I tell people all the time, ‘Gwen saved my life last year.’ She did, and I think she would probably tell you something similar about me.”

Stefani and Shelton were going through divorces around the same time, something she opened up about to Harper's Bazaar in 2016. “[Backstage on the set of The Voice] Blake was like, ‘Everybody, before we go out there, I want to let everyone know that by the time this airs, I will be divorced.’” she told the magazine. “It was like being handed this gift of a friend who was going through the exact same thing at the exact same time and then everything flipped. It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and like, ‘Wow, God, you just don't know what's gonna happen next.’”
