Are Gwan-hee & Hye-seon Still Together After Single’s Inferno? The ‘Unforgettable’ Twist
So much drama stemming from this one man… If you’re left shocked from the finale of the South Korean dating show, you might be wondering if Gwan-hee and Si-eun are still together from Single’s Inferno.
Single’s Inferno debuted in 2021 and skyrocketed to be one of Netflix’s most-watched reality TV shows due to the shocking and dramatic nature. 12 contestants are put on a deserted island called “Inferno” and compete through challenges to couple up. Once a desired couple is matched, they are sent to “Paradise” which is a fancy luxury hotel where they could be able to get to know one another. Along with all the suspense and pairing, a set of panelists comment on the show including comedian Hong Jin-kyung, actress Lee Da-hee, Super Junior member Kyuhyun, rapper Hanhae, and YouTuber and season 2 alum Dex.

In an interview with Netflix Tudum, producer Kim Na-hyun shared if there’s room for the cast to be in touch with each other after they leave the island. “I see them interacting on Instagram, so I think it’s safe to say that they’re still in contact. Because they spent eight nights and nine days on an island together, where they not only built relationships but also friendships, they are probably still close.”
Season 3 started with two separate Infernos happening at the same exact time—leading to different merges, interesting choices, and most importantly a whole lot of drama.
Gwan-hee, a professional basketball player, laid down his multiple confusing games among some of the single women in Inferno. In the last couple of matches, Min-ji, Ha-jeong, and Hye-seon all choose him. Min-ji confessed that he made her heart flutter and one of the best moments was going to him first. Ha-jeong shared the same feelings about their connection. Despite having multiple heartfelt (?) connections with each of these women, he tells Min-ji that she’s his ideal woman and that he should’ve treated her better, and he tells Ha-jeong that he would love to have a bite with her after the show, and sends mixed signals to Hye-seon. But in a turn of events, he chose Hye-seon, a college student, as his final decision. Both of them leave the island hand-in-hand and the panelists (especially Kyuhyun) have their jaws dropped and are stunned.

It’s unknown whether or not Gwan-hee and Hye-seon are still together after the show ended. The two haven’t blatantly posted anything of each other on their respective Instagrams nor do they follow each other. But, the only accounts Gwan-hee does follow are Netflix, his basketball team the LG Sakers, and the NBA.
Gwan-hee posted a photo of the cast members and some fans on Reddit noticed that Hye-seon posted a comment that translated to, “the pic is too dark, I told you if you want to post lmk first so I can add filter” and deleted it quickly.
During his last confessional, Gwan-hee deemed Hye-seon as unforgettable. “But I didn’t think I would think about Min-ji as much if I picked Hye-seon. So in the end I didn’t hesitate in picking Hye-seon.”
In a thank you note to his fans, Gwan-hee posted on his Instagram the day the finale aired with the last picture being of him with Hye-seon. “Hmmm.. I remember a long time ago, and when I watch the broadcast, I think of a lot of people,” his Instagram translation read. “I may not have won the sympathy of my frankly appearance, but I have no regrets about the way I showed more honestly than anyone else. There are so many things I want to say, but today I want to thank the actors and staff who came and shared their hearts with me. 👍 See you again soon. It’s in the middle of the season.
