A whole universe of possibilities in front of them, and the most iconic beverage the folks behind Star Wars could create for that galaxy far, far away was milk. Blue milk, and then trilogies later, green milk. Now, Disney is makings its own version of those blue and green drinks and putting them up for sale at its soon-to-open Star Wars theme park, Galaxy's Edge. Milk for everyone!

For those not well-versed in the Star Wars history of milk and milking, here's a quick recap. In the very first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, there's a scene where Luke Skywalker's aunt serves up blue milk from a female bantha-banthas are those animals that look like giant yaks with tricked-out horns-in their Tatooine home. The scene ended up being cut, but blue milk kept popping up again and again throughout years of sequels.

Then, in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, on that lonely Jedi island, Luke squeezes drippy green milk from the udder of an alien sea cow (née Thala-siren) and downs it with disturbing gusto. That scene grossed people out, but probably not so much that they won't descend upon the Disney parks to shell out big bucks for non-alien-descendant colored milk.

According to reports about Galaxy's Edge cuisine, the blue and green milks will be entirely plant-based, and available frozen at the Milk Stand or chilled at the Cantina bar. The blue is berry and melon flavored, while the green is more tropical. Unfortunately, they are both non-alcoholic. Besides the milk, Galaxy's Edge is also serving up "exotic" meats, popcorn, a green pastry reminiscent of Rey's sad Jakku meals, and more alien-like creations.

And if you need a strong drink, there's talk of fizzing, steaming cocktails named things like the Fuzzy Tauntaun, the Outer Rim, and the Bloody Rancor, which is like a Bloody Mary with a bone garnish. They just might wash the image of Luke Skywalker milking a sea siren out of your brain.
