This Guy Spent 3 Years Pedaling Around the World on a Unicycle

From Men's Health

When you think of doing something for charity, maybe you consider a bake sale or some sort of auction. That's not what Ed Pratt did. Pratt spent 1,200 days pedaling around the world on a unicycle, and he documented her journey and the final leg of it on YouTube.

Pratt began his cycling route in his home of Somerset and traveled throughout multiple European countries including France, Slovakia, and Turkey before moving to Asia and traveling through China and down to Vietnam. The unicyclist then hopped on a flight to Australia, traveling along the coast, before flying to New Zealand and cycling there. Then, it was on to the United States where he began in California and ultimately ended up New York before flying back to the UK. His last leg took him through Edinburgh and finally, home to Somerset.

It's that final bit that his YouTube video details. Pratt travels through the United Kingdom visiting other unicyclist and his grandparents before making the final trek home to an inflatable finish line and cheering crowds.

But the journey wasn't all rainbows and sunshine and unicycles. In prior videos on his YouTube channel, he details nearly being hit by a car and having to take a six month break, getting chased by a dog, and some camping mishaps. At the end of his journey, though, Pratt ended up raising £300,000 for for School In A Bag, an initiative that provides backpacks filled with stationary and other learning supplies to poor, vulnerable, and disaster-effected children throughout the world.

Pratt wrapped up his journey at their headquarters bringing the ride full circle.
