Guy Fieri Is Opening A Chicken Tender Restaurant At Disney World
Guy Fieri is a proven burger man, but he's dipping his toe into the chicken tender waters - and he's doing so at the happiest place on earth. This Wednesday, Disney World announced plans to open Chicken Guy at Disney Springs, right next to Planet Hollywood. It'll be the first of what Guy and restauranteur Robert Earl hope to be a nationwide chain of chicken tender restaurants.
Visitors to the restaurant can order grilled or fried chicken three ways: on its own, in a sandwich, or on a salad, like a Chopped Chicken Caesar Salad or Southwest Sweet Corn. The main attraction, though: more than 20 sauce options, available at the counter and via a sauce slinger whose job is to wander the restaurant with a holster of condiments on his waist. It's the stuff of Flavortown dreams.
While Disney eats are notoriously pricey, everything on Chicken Guy's menu will cost $7 or less. Aside from chicken, there's a Big Bite B.L.A.T. sandwich - smoked bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, and buttermilk ranch sauce - and desserts, including the Triple Double Mint and Cinnamon Apple sundaes.
In typical Guy fashion, expect fist bumps on the way in and a life-size Guy selfie wall to snap pictures against. Disney hasn't announced an official opening date yet, but it's set for some time in August.
