Guns N’ Roses bass guitarist Duff McKagan and his wife, Susan Holmes McKagan, have welcomed a new furry family member into their home. The couple adopted a puppy from the Los Angeles animal rescue organization, The Labelle Foundation, and Susan made the announcement on Instagram accompanied by photos of the adorable rescue.

The Instagram post shows the pup lying on a bed and posing with his parents on a private jet and a short video clip him playing in the lawn. Susan captioned the post, ‘’guys we adopted a rescue puppy! how cute is he?! thank you @thelabellefoundation we are so happy’’

Several fans commented on the post, describing how cute and adorable the pup is. One fan said, ‘’This is wonderful’’ Another user praised the couple’s decision to rescue a pup instead of buying one. They said, ‘’I love it when millionnaire (sic) people, who could buy any animal, decide to adopt. May everyone follow this example. I hope the kittens in the family play with him a lot.’’

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) also commented on the post, saying, ‘’Truly precious …We’re so happy that you’re helping homeless animals by adopting this sweet pup! Enjoy all of these fun new moments together ? #NeverBuyDogs.’’ As per TMZ, the pup is a chihuahua-terrier mix. The couple hasn’t shared the puppy’s name.

Duff McKagan is one of the founding members of the iconic hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. The bassist is still part of the band, having recently completed the North American leg of their latest tour. Over the years, the group has churned out many hits like ”Sweet Child o’ Mine,” ”Paradise City,” and many more.

McKagan met Susan way back in the 90s via a mutual friend. During an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, the bassist said that at the time he’d been sober for two years and ‘’didn’t know if I could date a woman again.’’

‘’I don’t know how to … I’ve got no game or whatever the f*** you have to have at 32 years old,’’ McKagan said. He further mentioned, ‘’I’m sober and reading books — what woman’s going to like some book nerd?” The couple got married on August 28, 1999. They have two daughters, Grace and Mae.
