The latest offering from the galaxy far, far away on Disney+ is for the girls. Most of the main characters on Star Wars: Ahsoka are women with missing and/or dead men in their life; It's like the opposite of the age-old tragic backstory where the male protagonist's wife/girlfriend is kidnapped/murdered. That's fun for a change, right? If you're already watching the new Star Wars series or you're about to jump in and need a guide to catch up, here's what you need to know about the Star Wars: Ahsoka episode release schedule. It's also a little different compared to what we've seen before....

Ahsoka centers on Ahsoka Tano, a character who originated in a Star Wars animated series. She was Anakin Skywalker's plucky Padawan apprentice and left the Jedi order before he became Darth Vader. (Spoilers for... the Star Wars prequels? IDK.) This new series catches up with Ahsoka, played by Rosario Dawson, decades later. She's a grown-up. She's not precocious anymore. And in Ahsoka, she's on a mission.

When do new episodes of Ahsoka drop on Disney+?

Okay, so how does the episode schedule work? It's actually a bit of a return to form. New episodes of Ahsoka are released one at a time (after the initial two-episode premiere) on Disney+ on Tuesday nights at 6 p.m. PST/9 p.m. EST. They don't drop at midnight or in the early hours of the morning. (Well, unless you live in Germany... it's always 3 a.m. somewhere, eh?)

For American audiences, at least, the episode drop is at a reasonable time to sit down and enjoy a new Ahsoka adventure. That's kind of cool, especially when it comes to spoilers. I hated getting up early and feeling like I had to dodge Star Wars spoilers on social media before I had time to watch. But be mindful of those in other time zones and countries when you do watch. Nobody likes seeing a surprise cameo at the top of their trending topics... if that were to happen, as a *random* example.

Gimme the exact release dates of the Ahsoka episodes, pls.

No need to use a Jedi mind trick. I got you:

  • "Part One: Master and Apprentice" - August 22, 2023

  • "Part Two: Toil and Trouble" - August 22, 2023

  • "Part Three: Time to Fly" - August 29, 2023

  • "Part Four: Fallen Jedi" - September 5, 2023

  • "Part Five: TBA" - September 12, 2023

  • "Part Six: TBA" - September 19, 2023

  • "Part Seven: TBA" - September 26, 2023

How can I watch Star Wars: Ahsoka?

Well, if it wasn't already clear: Subscribe to Disney+ if you aren't already and tune in/log on every Tuesday night. Or you can wait until Wednesday. You can also wait until, ladies and gentlemen, the weekend. You could even decide to finish the whole season in October when it's finished. As far as we know, the episodes aren't going anywhere. Take your time!

Is there going to be a Ahsoka season 2?

That's also a big TBD, both because the show has just begun and because Disney and other major studios/producers have not yet reached a deal that would end the WGA and SAG strikes. But it's likely that we'll see characters like Ahsoka, Sabine, and Thrawn in other Star Wars movies or Disney+ television shows regardless.

Anything else?

If you like Ahsoka the character and want to learn more about her friends, her relationship with Anakin Skywalker, and her overall background, you can check out the afore-mentioned animated series The Clone Wars, Rebels, Forces of Destiny, and Tales of the Jedi. In those series, the character is voiced by actress/designer Ashley Eckstein. I'm assuming that, if you watch Ahsoka you probably also watched The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett... but if not, she's in those shows too, also portrayed by Rosario Dawson.
