What's it about? Starring Naomi Watts, Jennifer Coolidge and Bobby Cannavale, The Watcher was inspired by a true story which first came to light in a 2018 article by The Cut. When a family moved into their dream house in New Jersey, they started to receive anonymous threats from someone who claimed they had been tasked with watching the house ahead of its "second coming".

Dahmer Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story

What's it about? A dramatisation of the heinous true crimes of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, who killed 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Despite becoming one of Netflix's most-watched series ever, The Jeffrey Dahmer Storyreceived backlash for "re-traumatising" the victims' families, and potentially glorifying Dahmer's crimes.

Mr. Harrigan's Phone

What's it about? The teen horror film follows Craig, a young boy who befriends an elderly billionaire John Harrigan shortly before his death, who discovers they're able to communicate beyond the grave.

Halston

What's it about? A dramatisation of how real-life American fashion designer Halston built his empire, looking into the lavish lifestyle of luxury, sex, status, and fame, before things eventually came crashing down.

What's it about? A film about a group of struggling Broadway stars, who help a teenager go to prom with her girlfriend in a small Indiana town.

What's it about? The TV series was designed as a prequel to 1975 film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, telling the fictionalised story of Nurse Mildred's time working on a psychiatric wing at a large hospital in the 1940s.

The Boys In The Band

What's it about? A film starring Jim Parsons and Matt Bomer, based on the 1968 play of the same name by Mart Crowley. A surprise guest at a party in New York City leaves seven men reckoning with unspoken feelings.

What's it about? Due to societal pressures, two women have kept their relationship a secret for seven decades - but discover coming out at a later date also has its own set of challenges. A documentary as oppose to dramatisation, which Ryan Murphy produced.

What's it about? A film based on a true story. When a couple take over a Los Angeles adult book store in 1976, it quickly becomes the biggest distributor of gay porn across the USA. A documentary in which Ryan Murphy served as executive producer.
