A Guide to All of Michelle Obama's Books
Since President Barack Obama left office in 2017, he and First Lady Michelle Obama have been busy. The Obamas struck a deal with Netflix to produce a series of projects under their Higher Ground Production Company. They also both signed record-breaking book deals receiving a $65 million advance from Penguin Random House for the worldwide rights to their memoirs.
Since that book deal, Michelle Obama released Becoming in November 2018, and it became an instant bestseller. It was even adapted into a documentary on Netflix.
Four years later, the former first lady is releasing another book with Penguin Random House, The Light We Carry. "I never thought I would be the author of one book, let alone two. But I’ve found that writing this has been a way for me to gather my thoughts and find more clarity during this time. So, I hope this book means as much to you as it does to me," Obama shared on Instagram.
With news of The Light We Carry, here's a guide to all the books authored by former First Lady Michelle Obama.

“When we are able to recognize our own light, we become empowered to use it,” she writes in the book. In the tome, Obama will explore issues connected to race, gender, and visibility, and help empower readers to "work through fear, find strength in community, and live with boldness," according to a statement.
