- 1/11
Daisy Jones
Daisy Jones is the co-lead singer of Daisy Jones & the Six. According to her official character bio, she "is a spirited and enigmatic singer-songwriter who comes of age and rises to rock superstardom against the backdrop of the 1970s L.A. music scene."
Daisy quote from the novel: "I had absolutely no interest in being somebody else's muse. I am not a muse. I am the somebody. End of fucking story."
Daisy is played by Riley Keough (Zola, American Honey, Mad Max: Fury Road) in the TV adaptation. Keough, notably, is Elvis's granddaughter–but she had never sung professionally before this role.

Billy Dunne
Billy Dunne is the co-lead singer of Daisy Jones & the Six (and before that, the sole lead singer of the Six). "The band’s charismatic frontman whose increasingly complicated feelings for bandmate and songwriting partner Daisy threaten to upend his life."
Billy quote from the novel: "I’m saying that when you really love someone, sometimes the things they need may hurt you, and some people are worth hurting for... But loving somebody isn’t perfection and good times and laughing and making love. Love is forgiveness and patience and faith and every once in a while, it’s a gut punch. That’s why it’s a dangerous thing, when you go loving the wrong person. When you love somebody who doesn’t deserve it. You have to be with someone that deserves your faith and you have to be deserving of someone else’s. It’s sacred."
Billy is played by Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games, Peaky Blinders, Enola Homes). Claflin made his film debut in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 2011, but broke out as Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Karen Sirko
Karen Sirko is the Six's guitarist. She is described as "a true original and one of the first women in the overwhelmingly male world of rock and roll."
Karen quote from the novel: "Men often think they deserve a sticker for treating women like people."
Karen is played by Suki Waterhouse, a singer, model, and actress (Insurgent, Assassination Nation, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies). Suki is currently touring in support of her own music. "Playing Karen," Suki told Town & Country, "I got to access a confidence and a fearlessness in some ways that I maybe didn't have before from her."

Camila Dunne
Camila Dunne is Billy Dunne's wife. She also begins a career as a music photographer, as she "follows the love of her life in his pursuit of rock stardom only to discover her own potential along the way."
Camila quote from the novel: "I think you have to have faith in people before they earn it. Otherwise it’s not faith, right?" And one more: "All I will say is that you show up for your friends on their hardest days. And you hold their hand through the roughest parts. Life is about who is holding your hand and, I think, whose hand you commit to holding."
In the adaptation, she's played by Camila Morrone, a model and actress (Death Wish, Valley Girl). On playing Camila, Morrone told Town & Country, "You have to turn it into your own, you have no other option. You have to make it your own, because that's all you know how to do."

Graham Dunne
Graham Dunne is the lead guitarist for the Six, and Billy Dunne's younger brother. According to his character description, his "desire to form a band ignites the spark that takes them all from small town Pittsburgh boys to the top of the charts."
Graham quote from the novel: "Music is never about music. If it was, we'd be writing songs about guitars. But we don't. We write songs about women. Women will crush you, you know? I suppose everybody hurts everybody, but women always seem to get back up, you ever notice that? Women are always still standing."
In the show, Will Harrison plays Graham. This is Will's first major role.

Eddie Roundtree
Eddie Roundtree is the Six's bassist (in the book, Eddie Loving is the rhythm guitarist). Josh Whitehouse (Poldark, Northern Soul, Valley Girl) plays Eddie in the TV adaptation.
An Eddie quote that captures his character: "There’s only so long you can live your life while it’s being dictated to you by somebody else, you understand? And I don’t care how much money is in it for me, I’m not somebody’s lackey. I’m not some indentured servant. I’m a person. And I deserve a say in my own career."

Warren Rojas
Warren Rojas is the Six's drummer (in the book, he's called Warren Rhodes). He's described as a "fun-loving, unpretentious drummer and backbone of the Six who, unlike his band mates, manages to keep perspective and enjoy the ride, never losing sight of his small-town roots."
Warren quote from the novel: "What’s good is when everybody thinks you’re headed somewhere fast, when you’re all potential. Potential is pure fuckin’ joy."
In the show, Warren is played by Sebastian Chacon. Chacon has had small roles in Pose, Narcos, and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, but this is his first major role.

Simone Jackson
Simone Jackson is a disco star. She's Daisy's closest (and only) friend, and she finds herself at the forefront of the 1970s underground disco scene. Her show storyline diverges from her book storyline.
Simone quote from the novel: "But at some point, you have to recognize that you have no control over anybody and you have to step back and be ready to catch them when they fall and that’s all you can do. It feels like throwing yourself to sea. Or, maybe not that. Maybe it’s more like throwing someone you love out to sea and then praying they float on their own, knowing they might well drown and you’ll have to watch."
Simone is played by Nabiyah Be, a singer-songwriter. She's also appeared in Black Panther, and off-Broadway in School Girls; or the African Mean Girls and Hadestown.

Teddy Price is a record producer, who is described as "always the coolest guy in the room." He's also something of a father figure for Billy.
Daisy quote about Teddy from the novel: "If I can thank Teddy Price for anything—and to be honest, I have to thank him for a lot of things—but if I had to pick one it’s that he made me earn something."
Teddy is played by Tom Wright, a prolific actor. He's appeared in Marked for Death, Barbershop, Seinfeld, Murder at 1600, and many, many other projects on stage and screen.

Rod Reyes
Rod Reyes is Daisy Jones and the Six's tour manager. As the band's profile rises, Rod has to navigate their personal conflicts to keep them from falling apart
A series of quotes about Rod:
Rod: When I started working with the band, I had some ideas. Some of which were well received and others…not so much.
Graham: Rod told me I needed to cut out half of my solos. Said they were interesting for people that loved technical guitar work but boring for everyone else. I said, “Why would I play to people who don’t care about good guitar?” He said, “If you want to be huge, you gotta be for everybody.”
Billy: Rod told me to stop writing about stuff I didn’t know about. He said, “Don’t reinvent the wheel. Write about your girl.” Hands down, best career advice I ever got.
Karen: Rod told me to wear low-cut shirts and I said, “Dream on,” and that was about the end of that.
Eddie: Rod started getting us gigs all over the East Coast. Florida to Canada.
Rod is played by Timothy Olyphant—who you may recognize from Justified, Deadwood, Santa Clarita Diet, to name a few. Timothy is not on Instagram!
