Adele fans are in for a bumpy ride this week as it emerged her new album, 25, will not be available on Spotify or Apple Music.

It means many could be forced to traipse to their nearest record store and pick up a hard copy, a tradition which has become rarer and rarer among audiophiles as they flock to digital download websites.

The move marks a departure from the star's previous relationship with digital companies, as her albums 19 and 21 and her new hit single Hello are all available for streaming.

However, 25 will be available on iTunes, it was confirmed.

It comes a year after singer Taylor Swift pulled her entire back catalogue work from Spotify, with her record label claiming she received only £310,000 for plays of her music in a year - debunking the site's claim she would have earned almost £4million in 12 months.

Adele is not the only artist attempting to make a splash on Friday with a new album release. Enya, the Irish singer, has unleashed her new record Dark Sky Island upon the world, while David Bowie has teased us with a new track from his upcoming album Blackstar.

All of which begs the question: Can you tell the difference between any of their lyrics?

The Telegraph has put together this fiendishly tricky quiz to put Adele fans' knowledge of their idol to the test, and see whether her music bares any striking similarities to those who released their records at the same time as 25.
