Gucci Releases Latest Men’s Tailoring Campaign Fronted by Harry Styles

Harry Styles made a splash at the Met Gala as a cochair of the event, decked out in full Gucci, with a nipple-baring sheer black ruffle shirt and patent oxford heels. Our favorite “Sweet Creature” also wore a single pearl earring, and now we want to wear a single pearl earring. As a face of the brand, Harry is now starring in Gucci’s fall 2019 men’s tailoring campaign, and the images look like a modern-day scene from Noah’s Ark, but make it fashion and baroque.

The campaign was photographed by filmmaker Harmony Korine, who previously directed two critically acclaimed coming-of-age films, including Kids and Spring Breakers. In the photos, Harry wanders around creative director Alessandro Michele's hyperreal universe, full of curiosities, statues, and yes, live animals, and hangs out with swans and adorable piglets in a lush garden. Note: This isn’t the first time the brand has enlisted a cast of cute and furry creatures for a fashion campaign. Harry previously posed for Gucci’s cruise 2019 tailoring collection, alongside pigs and goats, and before that, he posed with a chicken and a dog. Just call him Harry “the Animal Whisperer” Styles.

As for the clothes, Styles dons a tweed cape-coat, fancy track pants, an oversize fuchsia jacket, and an electric-blue suit, in addition to a patterned headband, a collection of Gucci purses, and jewelry galore.

Korine also directed a short film for the campaign that looks like a home video recording, and follows Styles as he romps through an art studio filled with Romanesque busts. He even cradles one of the piglets (the luckiest piglet ever), and sensually runs his fingers over the rim of a wine glass — with chunky rings and cracked blue nail polish, of course. You can check out the video below.
