Gucci’s East Hampton Boutique Gets Full Redesign Inspired by the New Collection, Lido

As the summer quickly approaches, Gucci’s East Hampton boutique is getting a full redesign inspired by the new collection, Gucci Lido, that pays homage to the allure of coastal living, drawing inspiration from beach clubs or “lidos” that adorn Italy’s storied coastlines.

A blue canopy, embellished with the iconic GG monogram, will greet visitors into the world of Gucci Lido, along with classic armchairs and umbrellas placed throughout, conjuring up the laid-back elegance of a coastal getaway.

There is also new carpet, a color palette inspired by the Lido collection and new Gucci decor seating throughout the two-level, 2,000-square-foot boutique, which opened in East Hampton in 2021.

In celebration of the boutique transformation, a series of Jackie, Bamboo 1947 and Diana bags in light blue will be available exclusively at the shop located at 17 Newtown Lane.

Gucci had an earlier permanent location on Main Street in East Hampton from 2006 to 2009.

Inspired by the underwater themed campaign, the East Hampton store has plexiglass pedestals and tables that bring the feeling of water to life.

Last month, Gucci introduced an ad campaign surrounding the Lido collection conceived by Gucci director Sabato De Sarno and photographed by Anthony Seklaoui. The campaign embodies a spirit of escapism, embracing the joy synonymous with the season.

Gucci Lido offers resortwear and swimwear. Featured in the campaign are also the Gucci Jackie and GG Marmont bags reimagined in straw-effect raffia and canvas variations. In addition, there are GG canvas accessories, including the Gucci Luce and Moon Side bags, along with accessories with neon details.

In addition to East Hampton, a series of in-store pop-ups for Gucci Lido will be located in Gucci stores in Porto Cervo and Capri, Italy; and Saint-Tropez.

As part of the Gucci Lido experience, the house will host a private event at Hotel Il Pellicano, an exclusive retreat nestled on the Tuscan coast. From May 24 to May 26, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a curated getaway that celebrates the art of Italian hospitality and the beauty of the Mediterranean landscape.
