Rockstar Games is about to drop the first look at Grand Theft Auto 6.

You can watch it below, and then try to still your beating heart. It will go live at 9am ET, 6am PT and 2pm GMT on Tuesday December 5.

After various rumours, Rockstar said in November that it would reveal the first look at GTA 6, to celebrate 25 years of the publisher.

"In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution," said Rockstar's Sam Houser at the time.

Rockstar acknowledged it was working on GTA 6 last year, although it didn’t go in to any details. Publisher Take-Two suggested earlier year that GTA 6 would be released in 2024, but it’s worth noting that Rockstar didn’t hit the original launch date for its last big game - Red Dead Redemption 2. Microsoft has also said it expected GTA 6 in 2024.

Rockstar suffered a massive GTA 6 leak in 2022, with more than 90 screenshots of the in-development game released via a network hack. Videos of gameplay showed a very basic look at combat, main characters and open world of GTA 6. The hacker - 17 year-old Arion Kurtaj - was caught after attempting to blackmail Rockstar Games, but was deemed unfit to stand trial following a psychiatric assessment.
