Grouchy Cat’s Reaction to Waking up From a Nap Is So Relatable

Are you a napper? I'm not because I always wake up feeling worse than I did instead of refreshed. @roro.cat (AKA Aurora) loves her cat naps, even if they are 16 hours long! Her mom shared a video at the end of September 2023 showing what happens when Aurora wakes up from a snooze.

The clip is only 6 seconds long and shows Aurora sitting at the top of the stairs. Written across the video it says, "When you wake up from a 16-hour nap and everyone in your house is still alive". To say Aurora doesn't look happy to be awake again and seeing all those people would be an understatement!

The look on @Aurora's face tells us exactly how she feels! I'm pretty sure she'd rather be cat napping again than dealing with her family!

There were close to 200 comments, most of them tagging a friend about their own pet cats. But commenters definitely got a kick out of Aurora's funny grouchiness. @PrettyLitter said what they though Aurora was thinking, "“they’re. still. here.”" and another commenter added, ""Doctor, I cannot continue living this nightmare"". @Isla knows the feeling, "Me coming out my room after a week and seeing my family". @Emily summed it up nicely with, "The life of a cat".

Aurora's attitude is exactly like mine when I wake up from a nap, which is why I don't nap! Cats are known for their stellar napping capabilities and sleep an average of 15 hours a day. I bet Aurora changed her mind about getting up and decided to head back upstairs to catch some more z's.
