This Groom's Expression Is What Love Is All About!

One of my all time favorite moments at any wedding I'm invited to? When the bride walks down the aisle... I turn back and check out the groom. Because more often than not, this expression is priceless. But this Groom right here? His expression is beyond that; it's absolutely fabulous. Could he smile anymore!? And those happy tears? Icing on the cake. It really doesn't get better than this folks. Focused Bliss Productions captured this beautiful raw emotion and we're oh so glad they did!

From Focused Bliss Productions... This story of two high-school sweethearts began when Jon and Karen met at school. While they shared the same friends, for some reason their paths hadn't yet crossed. One day, while Jon was playing basketball, Karen took notice of this "cute guy" - so she couldn't resist talking to him when they both waited for the bus-ride home. This conversation quickly led to several dates and becoming official just after only a week! This was truly a love that was meant to be and lasted through the rest of high school, college, and Jon's military enlistment and deployments. When Karen was then planning a surprise birthday party for Jon, Jon flipped the surprise on her by asking her to marry him! This led to this special day on which they tied the knot at the Wedgewood at the Retreat, a golf course nestled among the lush mountains of Corona CA, on their 11th year anniversary. As big Disney fans, their decor had subtle hints of the magical kingdom for their equally magical day - and it is just precious to watch as Jon could barely contain his excitement and tears as Karen came down the aisle. From the Bride... I feel as if every girl always dreams of her perfect wedding. For me, I thought I wanted an elaborate type of wedding. The type that you would see in fairytale movies. However, I realized that was not us. A lot of the planning was based on Pinterest I fell in love with the rustic concept. After much thought, I wanted the concept to be simple, elegant, and rustic. For the color palette, both of us would not budge. We both wanted our favorite colors to be part of the wedding. So I looked on Pinterest for shades of blue and pink that would work together. In the end we agreed on a navy blue and blush pink with hints of gold and grey. Many of the pieces in the wedding speak to us as a couple. For instance, for the wedding cake, we chose to do cupcakes instead because I would always bake cupcakes for him when we first dated back in high school for his birthday. Instead of table names we chose to do Disney couples because we love going to Disneyland. Many of the signs, like the hash tag signs and the table charts were made and handwritten by me. Also we love to go to breweries and wineries, so we spray painted bottles and made them the centerpieces. I also made the flower girl baskets. We also wanted to do a sand ceremony instead of a unity candle because we love how it symbolizes the merging of two people. Also a unity candle can burn out, unlike sand. Also his cufflinks are captain America because it's his favorite superhero.Flowers were from MFG florals. We saw the different bouquets that she made during a bridal bazaar. The flowers that were used were some of my favorite flowers, like roses, and babies breath. I just wanted her to incorporate pink and white flowers for the simplicity and elegant effects to go along with out theme. My gown was from Alfred Angelo. It was the first one I tried on there. I loved the lace detail and the rhinestone beeding belt that was already part of the dress. I remember telling the person who was helping me I want to feel like a princess but noting too elaborate. I didn’t want a lot of bling. For the cake, we wanted cupcakes instead of a cake. The cupcake had gold wrappings and some had the blue ribbon. We also had a bunny cake topper because I call Jon bunny. The cake had also had a similar lace pattern to match my dress as well as a pink and blue ribbon that we used for to match the color theme. For the venue, we fell in love with our choice at first sight. I knew that I wanted a wedding outdoors. We also loved how everything was included with the venue and we had the freedom to add our own vendors and take things out.
