Grinduro!, the mixed-terrain event where having a good time at the party is just as important as going fast in the race, is stoked to announce new dates and locations for 2023!

With a start in Germany in May, the event will then head to the United States for stops in California and Pennsylvania, followed by Wales, Italy, and Japan. Bicycling is excited to join as the exclusive media sponsor for both U.S. events.

Grinduro! had its start in Quincy, California, in 2015, presenting riders with one of the most unique racing formats gravel has to offer. The event combines the chill vibes of a gravel grinder with the best elements of a mountain bike enduro—where finishing times aren’t based on overall time, but on four short, timed segments over an all-day adventure route.

But it is not just a bike race. In addition to racing, Grinduro festivities include a display of art and music, food, social rides, and camping.

This 2022 was the first time the popular event visited the East Coast, and Bicycling’s editors were excited to join the party. For our membership editor, Theo Kahler, it was his first time experiencing gravel riding, and you can read about his experience here.
