'Grey's Anatomy' Welcomes Back Another Former Grey-Sloan Doctor for Season 19

If only this could last forever.

Grey's Anatomy is set for a mini cast reunion this year.

Riding in on the coattails of the news that Jesse Williams would be returning as Jackson Avery during an episode of Grey's Anatomy's 19th season, TVLine has confirmed that Greg Germann will also be gracing us with an appearance as Tom Koracick.

Both have their guest star spots in Nov. 3's episode, titled "When I Get to the Border," which Williams is also directing.

The episode finds Meredith catching up with Avery on a trip to Boston (where he and Koracick both moved to help run the Catherine Fox Foundation). Meanwhile, Koracick connects with Catherine while she's in Boston about a personal matter.

According to TVLine, Grey's showrunner implied that it wasn't the last we'd see of Germann and his character when his exit from the series was first announced.

"Greg Germann is a comic genius and we are so lucky that he brought his talents to our show these last few years," she reportedly said at the time. "We will miss Greg terribly in the day to day — but we plan to see Tom Koracick again!"

And like Williams' character, this isn't his first return since leaving the show's recurring cast. He was last seen about halfway through Season 18, when he came to help out during Dr. Hamilton's surgery, injecting his reliable, sarcastic humor throughout.

And oh, how it's been missed.
