’Grey’s Anatomy’ Fans Are Pissed Last Night’s Episode Didn’t Include Any Meredith or Hospital Scenes
[If you haven’t watched last night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy, I guess there are technically spoilers below? But nothing really happened in the episode, so it’s not like there’s much to spoil, TBH.]
Last night’s episode of Grey's Anatomy was a little bit of an anomaly. It took place almost entirely outside of hospital walls, and it didn’t feature any scenes with the titular Meredith Grey. It focused on Richard and Catherine telling Jackson and Maggie they were separating and Levi dealing with the loss of his great uncle. While that’s all fine and good, that’s not exactly why people tune into this show, and people are not too thrilled about it.
Grey’s Fans are basically going off about it on Twitter, with some of them even saying it’s the worst episode of the show they’ve ever watched. Considering there are 16 seasons of this saga, that’s saying something! Here’s some of what they’ve been saying.
The new episode of Greys Anatomy was a waste of time! Ugh... #GreysAnatomy

One fan on Reddit has a theory for why this episode might have been so dull, which feels pretty valid.
“My theory is that this episode is filler because they needed to buy some time to reshuffle some stories to handle the Alex Karev storyline that needs to happen. Seems like they might have even intentionally held back this episode to buy time since it doesn’t do much to the main storyline, since this dinner was first mentioned what, like three episodes ago?”
However, the confusing part about this is that they would have filmed this show months ago. The news about Justin Chambers just broke a few weeks ago. There seems to be some confusion as to what episode was actually his last. IDK, guys. But that does seem like it could be logical. Either way, the fans are annoyed. Hopefully next week is more Meredith heavy.
