It's always sad to say goodbye when you go home from a good vacation.

For Grey's Anatomy star Sarah Drew, a recent trip to the Dominican Republic has her reminiscing about time spent relaxing in the tropical sun and surf.

The actress shared a photo of herself on a lounge chair in the middle of a pool on Instagram, captioning the update, "Oh to be on vacation… can I go back to @casadecampodr please???" Drew wore a light-colored swimsuit and sunglasses in the picturesque photo, which also featured a bright blue sky with fluffy white clouds above the luscious green landscape of the resort in the background.

She tagged the account of the Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in the city of La Romana, where she likely stayed during the vacation.

The resort commented in response to Drew, writing, "Yes. Approved! ✅."

Many of the actress' fans also wished they were on vacation right now, jealous of Drew's time spent in the Dominican Republic.

One wrote, "Let’s go ✈️☀️🌴," while another said, "You are Welcome any time 🇩🇴."

"A sunbed in the middle of a swimming pool? something i never thought i would see," commented another follower.

When not traveling to tropical locations, Drew is a very successful actress. In arguably her most well-known role, she starred as Dr. April Kepner in the hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy from 2009 to 2018.

Fans were shocked to find out about her departure in 2018 after Season 14, when it was announced that the network decided not to renew her contract, stating that the decision was made purely on the creative direction of the show.

Drew's co-star, Jessica Capshaw, was also announced to be leaving the show at the same time.

A statement regarding Drew's departure, via Deadline, read, "As writers, our job is to follow the stories where they want to go and sometimes that means saying goodbye to characters we love. It has been a joy and a privilege to work with these phenomenally talented actresses."

Luckily for fans of Drew and her character, she returned to Grey's Anatomy a few times after for meaningful cameos.

Since leaving the ABC show, Drew has starred in many interesting projects, including the comedy series Amber Brown in 2022.
