Greek Cat Sanctuary Seeks Caretaker to Live With 55 Cats

"Cat-whispering skills" required.

It's everyone's dream to make a living doing what they love, but few of us will likely realize that dream as fully as whoever gets the position just posted to God's Little People Cat Rescue's Facebook page. The Greek cat sanctuary is seeking someone to live on the island of Syros and look after its cats — and get paid for it, Time reports.

The job is for "a mature and genuinely passionate cat lover who knows how to handle many cats and would love their company," the job posting reads. This person will have to feed the cats and care for those with particular health needs. In exchange, they'll get a house, a garden overlooking the Aegean Sea, a salary, and, of course, the company of a bunch of felines.

The position isn't for everyone, though. You have to be able to drive a car in case a cat needs to go to the vet, and you also need to be OK with the fact that the sanctuary's a bit secluded and quiet in the winter. "You’ll no doubt thrive best if you are the type of person who appreciates nature and likes tranquility — and rest comfortably in your own company," the posting reads. "That said, you’ll never feel lonely in the company of the cats and you’ll be expected to live with a small handful of cats in your house." The job also calls for "cat-whispering skills" in case you need to take in a feral cat.

If that doesn't make you want to apply, the photos on the sanctuary's Facebook page might.

Along with the adorable kitties, you'll be surrounded by beautiful scenery.

The position requires a commitment of six months plus one volunteer month starting in October. If you think you're cut out to be a cat whisperer, info on how to apply is here.
