Great Wolf Lodge releases new details, photos of first-ever Florida resort

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Great Wolf Lodge is coming to Florida for the first time this fall, and on Thursday, the resort released new images, giving guests an inside look at the highly anticipated indoor water park.

While the park shared updates on the resort’s 92,000-square-foot water park in February, Great Wolf Lodge released new details about the resort’s “Adventure Park,” a family entertainment center with different attractions for guests to explore.

Guests will enter the newly imagined “Great Wolf Lodge Adventure Park” through the main lobby, and travel under a canopy of mossy branches and twinkling lights before emerging into the whimsical attraction.

The Adventure Park allows guests to journey to the “mystical world of Vellara” through the resort’s MagiQuest adventure game and an all-new virtual reality experience.

Other attractions inside the reimagined park include:

  • Howlers Peak Ropes Course: A first-ever indoor zipline element stretching 150 feet, providing a 180-degree view of the entire Adventure Park.

  • Howl in One Mini Golf Course: A 9-hole miniature golf course will feature new theming based on the character adventures in Great Wolf Lodge’s animated series, the “Great Wolf Pack.”

  • Virtual Frontier: This virtual attraction takes families on thrilling adventures, where families can dive below the ocean, complete exciting puzzles, or walk among dinosaurs.

  • Oliver’s Mining: Kids can sift through silt and sand at a wooden sluice using pans to find gemstones to take home.

  • Northern Lights Arcade: A 24-hour arcade with more than 100 games that allow guests to redeem points for prizes.

  • Ten Paw Alley: Family-style bowling with pint-sized bowling balls.

  • MagiQuest: Interactive fantasy adventure game, where players use their magic wands to collect relics and runes on their journey to become a powerful Magi.

The resort said its first location in the Sunshine State will open in Naples on Sept. 25, 2024. In honor of the upcoming opening, Great Wolf Lodge is offering a special discount for guests until April 25.
