There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

Just a month after debuting her eponymous womenswear label, Victoria Beckham was preparing for the launch of another fashion collection of hers — this time spotlighting denim.

At the Germany launch of her dVb jeans collection in October 2008, Beckham showed up on the event's purple carpet wearing a full tailored suit, but one typically crucial aspect of a full suit was missing: a shirt. Rather than accessorizing a blouse, her necktie did all the talking.

With a relatively newly pixie cut and razor-thin eyebrows, the designer and singer was executing and mastering the element of surprise throughout every aspect of this look. Though the neck accessory was a simple black satin detail, it became a statement in its own right thanks to its bare background and effortless nature.
