There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

Four years after making her debut as Chanel's then-youngest global ambassador ever (she was 16!), Lily-Rose Depp continued to display her unique brand of glamour at the 2019 Met Gala.

The actor artfully channeled '90s supermodel glam in a jaw-dropping, jealousy-inducing archival piece from the French house, which is iconic in itself: Debuted by the one and only Christy Turlington on the Haute Couture Spring 1992 runway, the slick black dress is adorned with gold chains and glittering floral brooches. Despite the garment being older than her, Depp wore it with such ease and class, you'd have thought it was custom-made.

Her makeup by Nina Park paid homage to the over-the-top aesthetic of the early supermodel era, but something about it still felt distinctly modern. While Depp's visibly over-lined lips and dramatic eyebrows offered a nod to the '90s, Park created a luminous, glow-y complexion that made the look feel current.
