There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.
It doesn't get more Y2K than a bedazzled belt and a barely-there mini skirt. It also doesn't get more Y2K than supermodel supreme Gisele Bundchen.
The model established herself as the face of a generation at the start of the millennium, gracing the Victoria's Secret runway, fronting major high-fashion campaigns and much more. So, naturally, she boasts a list of iconic, envy-inducing style moments longer than most can imagine.
In 1999, Bundchen was crowned Model of the Year at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards. That night, the then-19-year-old delivered one of her best outfits of the early aughts: an unbuttoned white dress shirt with a black bra peeking through and a leather micro mini.
In true '00s style, she went the most blinged-out with the accessories, which included a glitz-y choker and matching belt. Paired with the white-hot camera flashes on the carpet, these add-ons transformed the model into a walking disco ball, a traveling diamond, the crowned jewel of the fashion industry.

For glam, she went with a glossy lip, heavily-lined eyes and thin-but-not-sparse eyebrows. To finish it off, the model donned bombshell waves, effortlessly reminding everyone that she was, in fact, the "It" girl.
