There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

Announcing her retirement from full-time modeling in 2000 didn't stop Cindy Crawford from making other runway-worthy appearances. Case in point: She attended an AIDS/HIV fundraising event hosted by Macy's and American Express shortly after she shared the news, and didn't hesitate to wear a show-stopping outfit by Roberto Cavalli.

Fresh off the animal print king's Fall 2000 runway (the same collection that Aaliyah's famous tiger-striped dress came from), the leopard-print silk slip featured a warped version of the pattern as well as a contrasting black section around the center. The supermodel paired it with a '90s-style choker and a simple, strappy sandal.

The exact dress was most recently resold on 1stDibs for over $9,000 — a number that has to be at least double the original retail price.
