There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

At the 70th Annual Academy Awards in 1998, the blockbuster hit "Titanic" was nominated for just about everything — including Best Original Song, with Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On."

Dion performed the heartwrenching ballad for the program, which reached record-breaking viewership thanks to the film's popularity. She also made sure her outfit for the evening was just as perfect a tribute to the film: Rather than go for a classic ballgown or more standard all-over sparkly look, Dion kept her overall ensemble minimal in a skin-tight, long-sleeved turtleneck maxi dress, hair back and her makeup subtly frosted.

However, the real star of the outfit was the glittering replica of the blue diamond (a.k.a. the "Heart of the Ocean") featured in the film that she wore around her neck. The 170-carat sapphire necklace was reinterpreted by London jewelers Asprey & Garrard after "Titanic" became a hit.

”It's my tribute to the Titanic," Dion told Entertainment Weekly on Oscars night. "It just makes me feel like me. The necklace came first, and we built my outfit around it." *According to the 1998 story, the $2.2 million necklace had 12 bodyguards who followed the singer closely throughout the evening.)

Though getting your hands on a multimillion-dollar stone is a tough task, finding a just-as-fabulous statement stone (worth slightly less than Dion's) is not. Below, see our picks for bold jewelry pieces that complete any look.
