Great Danes Help Mom Decorate the Christmas Tree Like a Couple of Pros

Talk about a Christmas to remember! @Lovemargot.co and her husband recently headed out to pick their perfect Christmas tree with their Great Danes in tow, and the whole thing was straight out of a Hallmark holiday movie!

The couple shared the video at the beginning of December, and it's full of holiday movie vibes. The couple and their dogs Parker and George hopped into their vintage Ford truck and went to the Christmas tree farm to chop down their own tree. When they got there it started to snow...just like in the movies! Then they headed home to decorate the tree, with the help of the Parker and George. I think they did a pretty good job!

With the fully decorated tree and crackling fireplace, @Lovemargot.co's home even looks like it belongs in a Hallmark holiday movie! I love how curious the Great Dane's were about the tree, and how excited they were to help mom decorate it - it seems like the dog with the ball thought it would be an amazing addition to the other things already on the tree!

In the caption, I love what Lovemargot had to say about the holidays, "The holiday season is all about creating unforgettable moments with those we love, two-legged or four". I couldn't agree more! Pets are such an important part of the family. We have a pet rabbit who loves hiding under the tree and in between the presents.  He does nibble on the wrapping paper, but that's okay because we can tell how much he enjoys being under there!

Keeping Your Dog Safe Around the Christmas Tree

We all know that pets get curious around the tree, and some of them won't leave it alone! It's a tradition to have a Christmas tree as a focal point during the holiday season, but it's also important to consider pet safety around the Christmas tree. There are lights that can be chewed on, glass ornaments to be eaten or that could drop on the ground and spread glass. Some pets (like cats) might even try to climb into the tree! If it's a real tree, the dogs could try to drink the water out of the stand (which some people put chemicals in to help keep the tree fresh), and of course the tree itself, which can be knocked (or bumped in the case of big dogs like Parker and George) over.

Consider blocking the tree off to keep pets away from it if possible. And always anchor your tree (this is a good tip if you have young children too) to prevent it from falling over. Clean up fallen pine needles to prevent your pets from eating them (they contain toxic elements that are very unsafe for cats and can cause tummy issues for dogs).

Pets want to enjoy the holidays too but remember to keep them safe - just like we work to keep our little ones safe around the tree!
