Great Dane and Toddler Brother's Matching Halloween Costume Should Win an Award
With Halloween coming up, now is the time where many pet parents are unveiling their pet’s costumes on social media. There are always a ton of cute ideas that people come up with, but now, we’ve found one that really takes the cake.
Daphne the Great Dane is a very tall dog—so what better way to dress her up than as a horse? She’s not just any horse, however. She’s a racing horse, and her little brother is dressed up as a jockey. The pair look amazing together, so much that people have been commenting to say that they should win an award for the costume.

All it took to create the costume for Daphne was a harness, a blue ribbon, and a sash of flowers. It’s clear that she won the race! We couldn’t think of a better costume for this dog. She looks like a star!
The horse’s little jockey is having fun in his costume as well. He’s waving at the camera as if he really did just win the race. He’s totally unphased by the dog’s giant size; these two must be the best of friends.
With how much commotion this pair’s costume has caused on social media, we can’t wait to hear people’s reactions to the costume in real life on Halloween. It really is the perfect costume!
Some dogs really don’t like being dressed up, but this costume is so simple that Daphne doesn’t seem to mind. We’d love to see her trotting around the yard like the horse she’s dressed as. She looks so regal, especially in the flower sash.
With as many times as people compare Great Danes to horses, we are totally here for this costume. This little boy and his “horse” are sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face. We know it did for us!
