Grand Tasting comes to Boynton Beach: City is hosting its first food and wine festival

BOYNTON BEACH — Boynton Beach is joining the list of cities offering up culinary treats and tastings that highlight its restaurants, food trucks and vendors at its first food and wine festival.

Taste of Boynton Beach debuts from 6-10 p.m., Thursday, May 16, at Centennial Park and will spotlight 15 food vendors and 18 restaurants during the evening of entertainment that will feature music, fire dancers, a photo booth and LED games.

“Our goal with Taste of Boynton Beach 2024 is to uplift and highlight local businesses within the Boynton Beach community and beyond,” Events Director Gabrielle Favitta said in a news release.

Among the food vendors participating: G’s HibachiKona Ice Boynton BeachPoblano SouthRusty’s Caribbean CuisineTMI Food TruckAwesome EmpanadasKobschies Ice RollsIsland Smash Bahamian Cuisine  will offer $5 bites and sips. Potions in Motion will offer specialty cocktails for purchase.

A VIP Grand Tasting experience, which is sold out, will feature food and cocktails from Agliolio, Benvenuto, Café Frankie’s, Catering CC, Cure Cocktails, Driftwood, El Atico, Josie’s Ristorante, Kakes by Kesline, NOBO Brewing Co., Pal’ Rancho, Playa Bowls, PRP Wine International, Sushi Bang Bang, Tavolo Italian Kitchen, The Butcher & The Bar and Troy’s Bar-Be-Que.

Boynton Beach joins a growing list of local food and wine festivals, including South Florida Garlic Fest in Wellington in February, Jupiter Seafood Festival in February, Wellington Bacon & Bourbon Festival in March, Sweet Corn Fiesta in West Palm Beach in April, Boca Burger Battle in July, Feast of Little Italy in Jupiter in November and the Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival in December,

Cost: Free general admission (VIP sold out).

Parking: Free parking is available at the following locations:

  • The southeast corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Seacrest Boulevard (entrance is off Boynton Beach Boulevard.).

  • First Baptist Church of Boynton Beach, 301 N. Seacrest Blvd. and at 115 N. Federal Highway.

  • A rideshare is offered through the city's new Coastal Cruiser. Accessible parking is available at Kapok Park, 125 E. Ocean Ave. and along east Ocean Avenue between south Seacrest Boulevard and the crosswalk.

Road closures: East Ocean Avenue from Seacrest Boulevard to South East 1st Street and South East 1st Avenue from Seacrest Boulevard to South East 1st Street.
