Grand Haven named in top 25 best beaches in US by Travel + Leisure

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Haven State Park has been named among the top 25 best beaches in the United States by Travel + Leisure.

“Set on the shores of Lake Michigan, this 48-acre park with powdery white sand offers activities like fat-tire biking, barbecuing, sunbathing, swimming, and volleyball. There’s also a playground for the children, as well as scenic views of the lake and the Grand Haven South Pier and Lighthouses,” Travel + Leisure said.

The magazine also encouraged visitors to stay to “see a magical, dip-dyed sunset.”

Grand Haven State Park is listed with 24 other beaches like Poipu Beach in Kauai Hawaii; Coronado Beach in San Diego, California; Clearwater Beach, Florida; Oak Street Beach in Chicago, Illinois; Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina and more.
