What Grammys Fashion Looked Like in 1996

1996: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. On one hand, TLC won best R&B album for CrazySexyCool, a record so full of earworms that you’ve probably hummed “Creep” to yourself at least once last month. On the other hand, a young Canadian named Alanis Morissette won album of the year for Jagged Little Pill, a collection of warbled, Glen Ballard-produced megahits mourning Dave Coulier.

But hey, at least the fashion was a hoot! On the eve of this Monday’s Grammy Awards, we take a look back at what Grammys fashion looked like in 1996.
