Taylor Swift is up to six Grammy Awards categories this year, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for her latest hit album “Midnights.” Ahead of the ceremony, which will take place on Feb. 4, FN is looking back at some of Swift’s eye-catching choices in footwear from her lengthy career in the public eye.
During her many years of performing on-stage, attending award shows and walking the red carpet, the artist has had the opportunity to showcase her extensive collection of luxury footwear. From her British-inspired lace-up boots by Sophia Webster at the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to her black velvet Christian Louboutin knee-high boots sported during the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, Swift has had a plethora of memorable shoe moments throughout the years.

2012 Jingle Ball
At the 2012 Jingle Ball, Swift performed while wearing a pair of red velvet lace-up loafers with black accents and matching black nylon laces. The shoes, worn without a visual sock, were styled with an embroidered floral top in the same striking shade of deep burgundy.
2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Swift performed during the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show while wearing a pair of sky-high lace-up boots adorned with a Union Jack flag print by Sophia Webster. The singer paired these bold shoes with a matching minidress and miniature top hat in the same print.
2013 Grammy Awards
Swift arrived at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in a pair of vibrant Giuseppe Zanotti purple suede pumps featuring an open-toe and front cross strap detail. Colorblocking against the deeply pigmented shoe, Swift wore a blue sequin high-low gown by Elie Saab.
2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards
Swift walked the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet while wearing a pair of peep-toe cropped black booties with an estimated four-inch heel. Swift styled her trendy shoes with a sequined jumpsuit in the same hue from Saint Laurent‘s fall 2016 collection.
2016 Met Gala
In 2016, Swift attended the “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology” Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a pair of Louis Vuitton knee-high thick black strappy gladiator sandals. Playing off the glossy black in her choice of footwear, the rest of Swift’s look consisted of a custom-made silver and black minidress also by Louis Vuitton.
2018 American Music Awards
In 2018, Swift walked the American Music Awards red carpet while wearing a pair of silver knee-high Balmain boots adorned with a glossy black pointed-toe. Swift’s entire look was coordinated with her dress, also by Balmain, made from the same material as her eye-catching shoes.
2019 Billboard Music Awards
While performing onstage during the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Swift wore a pair of baby blue booties adorned with a crystal-covered rounded toe and an estimated three-inch heel by Stuart Weitzman. Keeping things sparkly, the star paired her pastel boots with a custom one-sleeve sequin body suit by Jessica Jones.
2019 AEG and Stonewall Inn’s Pride Celebration
During her 2019 performance at AEG and Stonewall Inn’s Pride Celebration, Swift sported a pair of flower-adorned heels in metallic purple and emerald green by Kat Maconie. The platform heels popped against Swift’s causal look which consisted of a button-down shirt and sparkling glitter shorts.

Swift arrived at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards wearing a pair of black velvet knee-high Christian Louboutin boots featuring a pointed toe and thin stiletto heel. Swift paired her slouchy choice of footwear with a custom multi-color chain-print beaded blazer dress by Versace.
2021 Grammy Awards
In 2021, Taylor Swift attended the Grammy Awards in a pair of baby pink Christian Louboutin heels adorned with a large bow ankle strap in the same shade. The shoes picked up the shade of pink found in Swift’s Oscar de la Renta floral-embroidered tulle minidress.
2022 MTV Video Music Awards
While walking the red carpet during the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, Swift wore a pair of ornate Christian Louboutin heels in metallic silver with a thin stiletto heel and draped beading around the ankle. The shoes matched Swift’s Oscar de la Renta minidress, detailed with the same loose beading.

To attend the 2023 “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” Concert Movie World Premiere, Swift sported a pair of light blue Giuseppe Zanotti heels that featured a sharply pointed toe and a thin front strap detail. The shoes were an exact match to the shade of Swift’s light blue Oscar de la Renta floral gown.
