After being married for 26 years, Janet Holden, the wife of Will & Grace star Eric McCormack, has filed for divorce from her husband.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Holden filed for divorce on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. There was not a date of separation listed.

In the divorce filing, Holden requested spousal support from McCormack, while also requesting that the court end McCormack's ability to get spousal support himself.

There is no further information about the situation right now, although McCormack was spotted in Los Angeles walking his dog on Thursday, Nov. 23, with his wedding ring still on, via Page Six.

McCormack and Holden married on Aug. 3, 1997, and they share one son named Finnigan, who is currently 21.

While McCormack is an actor known for roles on shows like Will & Grace, Perception, Travelers and more, Holden has also worked in the industry as an assistant director and producer.

The two reportedly met on the set of the show Lonesome Dove: The Series, which ran for one season between 1994 and 1995. Holden was working as an assistant director on the show while McCormack played the character Col. Francis Clay Mosby.

McCormack reportedly told the Australian magazine New Idea in 2018, "My marriage saved me," explaining it's because of his wife that he is so down-to-earth and approachable.

"At the time we actually got married it was a really slow summer," he recalled. "I thought I was going to get this job and all this money, but I didn’t, so she actually married an out-of-work actor!"

Most recently, McCormack and Holden were spotted at a few industry events as a couple, including the 31st Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in March and the premiere of the Broadway play The Cottage in July, which McCormack starred in through late October.
