Dairy Queen

If you’ve discovered a favorite Dairy Queen Blizzard flavor only to realize on your next trip that said flavor has been retired for the season, you’re not alone. (Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, I’ll never forget you!) Many iconic Blizzard flavors are kept in the Dairy Queen Freezer for decades before they come back to stores, but, this summer, you’ll have a chance to relive some of those joyful memories.

The country’s beloved Blizzard purveyor just announced their Summer 2024 menu, and there are two ice cream treats in particular that have caused quite a fuss for fans. This coming season, Dairy Queen will be welcoming back (drumroll, please!) Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard and Brownie Batter Blizzard. This release from “The Freezer” opens up the opportunity for the future return of more than 170 Dairy Queen flavors that have come and gone since the company announced the product in 1985.

Here’s the full summer lineup, which returns for a limited time at participating locations beginning April 1:

  • Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Party Blizzard Treat (new): Chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter topping, and rainbow confetti crunch blended with DQ soft serve

  • Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard Treat (new): Real peaches and cobbler pieces blended with DQ soft serve

  • Ultimate Cookie Blizzard Treat (new): Oreos, Chips Ahoy!, and Nutter Butters blended with DQ soft serve

  • Frosted Animal Cookie Blizzard Treat (returning): Frosted Animal Cookie pieces and Pink Confetti Icing blended with DQ soft serve

  • Brownie Batter Blizzard Treat (returning): Brownie batter and chocolatey brownie dough pieces blended with DQ soft serve

  • Cotton Candy Blizzard Treat (returning): Cotton candy sprinkles blended with DQ soft serve

Though we’re excited about all the creative sweets on the menu, we’re seeing stars for the new Picnic Peach Cobbler Blizzard Treat—an ice cream creation inspired by one of our favorite Southern desserts. Will it be as good as a warm helping of Grandma’s Peach Cobbler served with vanilla ice cream? You can try it out (and sample the rest of the summer lineup) with a special Dairy Queen deal: Fans can get buy-one-get-one (BOGO) Blizzards of equal or lesser value when ordered through the DQ mobile app from April 1-14.

Only one question remains: Which will you try first?
