Over the years, it became an iconic spot and moved into its current location before new owners came along in August 2022.

“I saw the story about it and I thought this is such a wonderful legacy I want to continue,” Pudgee’s Eatery & Market Proprietor Hans Klenke said.

Both Hans Klenke and Suzanne Mumaw moved from St. Pete and now operate the restaurant that is staying true to its roots by serving classic burgers, hot dogs and fries.

Their menu also includes street corn, Frito pie, sandwiches, nachos, tacos and a massive burger called the Mac Daddy that contains 1.5 lbs. of meat.

“We’re Pudgee’s! We are known for our hearty food, fresh food, and lots of it. We want you to go home and know that you got your money’s worth,” Klenke said.

Pudgee’s has also added a coffee shop that opens at 9 a.m. daily where customers can order a drink or baked goods.

Beer, wine and seltzers are also available for purchase at the market.

Pudgee’s is located at 8435 East Rosko Court in Floral City and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
