Grab This Colorful, Inclusive Pride Cycling Gear and Show Your Support This Month

Pride Month is here again, and it’s time to celebrate and uplift those who are bisexual, transgender, gay, lesbian, and queer. Fly those rainbow flags high. Specifically within the cycling community, this month sees an outpouring of support in the form of group rides around the country, from Houston’s Pride Bike Ride to the Pride Ride in Madison, Wisconsin, to Out Cycling’s NYC Pride Ride. These inclusive casual rides celebrate the intersection of LGBTQIA+ and cycling cultures.

And many cycling brands make Pride-forward products and donate proceeds to charities and programs uplifting queer communities. Pit Viper, for example, offers up some heart-eyed sunglasses to raise money for the Utah Pride Center and Flourish Therapy. Chrome teamed up with Gay’s Okay for a capsule collection of bags and gives a chunk of proceeds to Outright International, an organization dedicated to uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community. Molly Cameron, founder of RIDE (Riders Inspiring Diversity and Equality), sells Trans Flag wristbands for riders to show allyship at local events.

We’ve rounded up some of the coolest Pride cycling gear, much of which helps generate money for local community-strengthening programs. Grab a Pride product and show your allyship this June—and all the time. And, of course, direct donations are also a great way to show support this month. If you don’t need more gear, consider giving to rider-inclusive charities like RIDE, OutCycling, Radical Adventure Riders, The Trevor Project, GLSEN, and It Gets Better Project.

Pit Viper’s Rainbow Jellies Admirer sunglasses are glittery, heart-shaped, and super pink—perfect for blocking sun rays and haters alike. Proceeds from every pair sold will directly support the Utah Pride Center and Flourish Therapy for up to $10,000. And the price? $69.69. Nice.

If you’ve got a bottle cage that fits a Nalgene, this vessel from REI Co-op’s Pride collection is for you. It’s wrapped in a rainbow array of trees to show a love of the outdoors and equality.

Tech Accessory Pouch

Chrome linked up with Allan Shaw, founder of Gay’s Okay Cycling, for this collaboration in support of Outright International, a global organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ lives. This year’s Gay’s Okay collection includes this Tech Accessory Pouch, a Kadet Sling Bag, and a Doubletrack Handlebar Sling, all of which sport a shiny iridescent rainbow reflective. Up to $20,000 of proceeds from the collection will go directly to Outright International.

Trans Cotton Wristband

Profess your trans allyship with one of these wristbands from Molly Cameron’s RIDE charity. Several top professional criterium, gravel, and cyclocross racers were this wristband at major events to show support for trans rights and advocate for the community.

Daylite Pride Sling

Osprey’s latest Pride collection is giving to the Venture Out Project, a non-profit organization that leads backpacking and wilderness trips for queer and transgender people. The brand is donating $5 for every Daylite Pride Sling and Daylite Plus sold.

Smiles for Miles Gloves

While not a Pride-specific product, these rainbow gloves are a great way to show support. The pair is more subdued and muted for those wanting something less flashy. Handup made them in collaboration with Jess the Maker, and they’re touchscreen-compatible and feature 50+ UPF sun protection, a four-way stretch, and a nose wipe.

Avalon Sunglasses

Like the Handup gloves, these sunglasses aren’t visibly Pride-forward, but this month sees Article One donate all (100 percent!) of proceeds from sales of the Avalon to Stand with Trans, a Michigan-based organization that empowers transgender youth.
