GQ's Most Stylish Man of 2018 Showdown Round 2: The Waves Bracket

It's that time of year again: the race to determine the Most Stylish Man of 2018 is well underway. So far gentlemen of Waves bracket have proven their bona fides at awards shows, courtside, and while gently confronting the paparazzi. You've started deciding which ones did it best: Gucci's main man Alessandro Michele took out the king of steezy sleaze, Justin Bieber and Cole Sprouse conquered Wild Style ambassador James Harden in round one of the Waves Bracket. Now eight men continue on in hopes of being crowned this year's Most Stylish Man. Vote below in these next four match-ups, and be sure to weigh in on stylish dudes in the Vibes, Flex, and Swerve brackets, too, right here and on GQ's Instagram Stories before voting wraps up at Noon EST on Monday, December 17th.

Trevor Noah wears understated suits in continually cool ways, whether it's behind his fake news anchor desk or on the Met Gala red carpet. Alessandro Michele has created a lane in the tailoring world where giant animal patches, Disney characters, and a fat NY Yankees logo on the chest are par for the course. And the man loves a good cape.

Henry Golding vs. Ryan Reynolds

Golding's rocket ship-like trajectory to leading man stardom (and a GQ Man of the Year cover) in 2018 required him to dress the part in A+ tailoring from the world's best labels (the guy kills it in Tom Ford). Reynolds never met a sweater vest or some Brunello Cucinelli he couldn't very convincingly pull off (spoiler: you cannot do the same). Which guy made getting dressed look more effortless in 2018?

Tan France vs. Jeff Goldblum

Tan France spends his days pointing style-less guys in the right direction (French tuck anyone?) and his nights swerving way the hell out in next-level suits and gender-less layers from ahead-of-the-curve brands like Monse. Jeff Goldblum is the rare Hollywood star with genuine personal style. Whether he's attending a premiere or playing with jazz band, the man is never not the coolest cat in the room.

Cole Sprouse vs. LeBron James

The biggest thing in teen T.V. (that would be Riverdale for the olds) is up against the king of N.B.A. style. It's a matchup that pits Sprouse's cool kid tailoring and off-the-runway fits against James's game-changing Thom Browne suits and tunnel-ready easy streetwear mixes. Only one man can move on to the next round...
