Upper East Siders, it’s finally here. HBO Max has finally released the first official trailer for the long-awaited Gossip Girl revival – and we are in for a lot.

The trailer – which is very aptly set to Frank Ocean’s 2012 song "Super Rich Kids,” off the artist’s debut studio album Channel Orange – comes just a couple of weeks after HBO Max unveiled the first look at the series with a one-minute teaser (featuring Kristen Bell's iconic narration) and character posters.

The new trailer takes us back to New York’s elite Upper East Side, but things are a bit different in the world of Gossip Girl. The most apparent sign of the times is that the anonymous blog has now returned as an anonymous Instagram account. “Nine years ago, the original Gossip Girl website shut down. But after a new generation of New York’s young elite takes control of private school Constance Billard, the notorious blogger remerges as the number one source into their scandalous lives,” the trailer description reads.

We also hear snippets of season 1 dialogue: “We're a group of friends who have known each other since we were babies. We have trust, and history," Audrey (Emily Alyn Lind) says in the intro. Julien (Jordan Alexander) then chimes in, “We own this school.”

Starring Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, and Savannah Lee Smith, the series will be premiering on July 8 and, if the trailer is any indication, we're in for a whole lot of drama.
